I FORGOT IT AGAIN!

Its just weird how music has seeped into my life. Every sound I hear, I try to put it in a specific beat. After a few tries when the beat finally has a definition, I try to put some tune to it. ‘Wow, this sounds amazing’ is the reaction I always have. After a few hours when I try to remember the little song I made with my neuron mixers, I fail to remember it. Then one thought that always comes to my mind is – ‘DAMN, I should’ve recorded it. This thing has happened a lot of times and still does but at that very moment, you’re totally into your song, into your creation, into something that is making you happy cause you created it. At that time, you fail to remember a recording device.
I was climbing stairs with my dad today. This is where the music comes in. He was climbing with a specific speed and there were 16 steps. The speed was totally constant so that makes it a normal 4/4 tempo. I matched his footsteps with mine and used the railings in the form of Hi-Hats. Sounded pretty good. I could hear him breathe after he took a step and it ended just as he put his foot on the next step. During each landing, I used my feet to change the tempo and a solo used to pop up. Whenever dad changed his pace, I used to take it as an odd time signature, just to make myself happyJ.
Music is a peculiar thing. Once you start enjoying it, it seizes your mind and the grapple is so tight that you can never get rid of it. I remember my early johnian days when I used to tell people how foolish they were as they liked listening to music. Now I realise how pathetic i was J. When I started listening to good music and NOT fancy stuff telling us how girls shake their booty in a pimp mobile, I was probably the only kid in the whole grade who was into it. There were kids listening to all sorts of weird genres. By the time I passed out, half of them started listening to good music and realised how pathetic they were.
It’s still strange how music has changed my life. There’s always a smile on my face whenever I do a specific thing and it turns out to be a song. Hip-Hop numbers with girls shaking their booties might force you to wear your dancing shoes, but they can just help you dance for those 5 mins. Good music helps you every minute of your life. All you need to do is understand it J.
‘Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music.’ – James marshall ‘Jimi’ Hendrix.
